Each patient that receives physical therapy at Pro+Kinetix undergoes a 3 Step process. This 3 Step process includes:
- Step 1: Find The Real Cause Of The Pain
We’ll take you through a comprehensive biomechanical assessment and identify the cause of your problem. Then we’ll explain what must be done to get you back to full speed and back to the activities you enjoy.
- Step 2: Fix Your Problem Areas
We’ll develop a treatment plan that will be tailored specifically to you and your goals. This will ultimately allow us to get you stronger, pain-free, and on track to reach your goals more effectively and efficiently.
- Step 3: Stay At Peak Performance
Once we get you back to exercising pain free, we’ll implement strategies to get you performing at an even higher level than you were prior to your injury. We’ll also implement strategies to “bulletproof” your body to decrease the likelihood of future injuries occurring.
Pro+Kinetix also offers half hour and hour long recovery sessions. Recovery is just as important as the training. An individual’s ability to perform in competition and training is directly correlated to their ability to recover form their last training session. During our recovery sessions we utilize a variety of manual therapy techniques all provided by a Doctor of Physical Therapy. The recovery techniques utilized include Cupping, Active Release Technique (ART), ISTYM, Hypervolt, and Voodoo Band. These recovery techniques have been shown to shorten recovery time, improve flexibility & range of motion, break up scar tissue, increase oxygen and nutrient supply to the muscles, eliminate by-products of exercise, and reduce pain.
Physical Therapy and Recovery sessions are available on-sight at Grassroots CrossFit East Bay Monday through Friday 6:30pm-8:30pm and Saturday/Sunday from 8:00am – 1:00pm by appointment only.
